The RESEARCH CENTRE will be open to visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 am and 12 noon, or at other times by appointment. If you are researching your family history, it is best to contact us before you visit, as it often takes time to locate information. Emails preferred.
HISTORIC WORSLEY COTTAGE will also be open for visitors following the extensive year-long renovations.
Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays 10 am - 12 noon and Sundays 2 pm – 4 pm.
Our COTTAGE GARDEN (sections of which were removed during the renovation) is still a work in progress, but our volunteers are working hard to re establish it.
We are a community-based, volunteer organisation located in Maryborough, Central Victoria. Our tireless volunteers are committed to restoring, preserving, and displaying Maryborough's exciting history. We organise fundraisers, exciting community-building events, historical research, and provide in-depth training sessions for our volunteers. Maryborough was established in 1854 as one of Victoria's early gold rush towns.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
The Maryborough Midlands Historical Society acknowledges the ancestors and descendants of the Dja Dja Wurrung, traditional owners and carers for many thousands of years of the land on which we live and work.
