Our experienced researchers are ready to discover your unanswered family mysteries.

To assist with our search, please send an outline by email of any information that you have already compiled. For example:  

• Relevant dates, occupations, and community roles (e.g. councillors/mayors).
• All known addresses or towns of residence.
• Notable events in the family history, e.g. bankruptcies, mining accidents, fires, etc., (there may be a newspaper report).

Note: Please let us know if you have already used the TROVE website in your research.

Personal Research Visits

If you prefer to visit our archives, please advise of your plans well in advance by email, including as much detail as possible. This will allow us to provide you with any available information on your visit. Tracing personal histories can be difficult and time-consuming; therefore, we regret that we cannot offer a 'while-you-wait' service. 

Fees

There are no set fees for family history research, as we cannot guarantee the volume of family information that may be uncovered. Instead, as our researchers are volunteers, we ask that you donate towards our running expenses.

Please be patient while we do our best. There is often a queue of requests, and the best possible search can take time.
